Celebrating success

What a day we had today! Our brilliant Aspirations Partner, The Sovini Group, celebrated the huge success of their partnership with us, after they provided funding for 10 schools in Sefton and Liverpool to receive our Raising Aspirations programme. Because of their commitment to local communities, almost 400 children have raised their aspirations, developed their employability skills and built resilience. The Sovini Group has opened up the world of work for some of the most disadvantaged children living in Merseyside. The schools that benefited from our Raising Aspirations programme are:

  • All Saints Catholic Primary School
  • Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School
  • Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Primary School
  • Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Primary School
  • Springwell Park Primary School
  • Nertherton Moss Primary School
  • Thomas Gray Primary School
  • St Francis de Sales
  • Primrose Hope Primary

A celebration event was held at Bootle Cricket Club in Sefton, where Roy Williams, CEO at The Sovini Group, Ian Mitchell, Operations Director and Melissa Conlan, Team Leader, met with pupils from seven of the schools to hear about their experience of the programme. Sovini also ran a competition for one pupil to be CEO for the day, and congratulations go to Ella from Thomas Gray Primary on her winning entry!
Our Raising Aspirations programme changes lives. It opens up the world of work and raises aspirations. We couldn’t do it without our fantastic Aspirations Partners, so a huge thank you to The Sovini Group for making a difference to the lives of children living in their communities.
