The Raising Aspirations programme

We will continue to follow government guidance in relation to Covid-19. If there are any changes to our services, we’ll let you know straight away.

The programme has been designed for pupils in Year 5 and/or Year 6 as they prepare to go to high school and start thinking about the world of work.

The timeframe is usually specified by the Aspiration Partner but is usually by the end of the school year. The annual license period is 12 months from the date of the School Agreement.

The programme is designed as an out of the box resource able to be delivered by a member of staff in school; this could be the Year 5 or 6 teacher or a teaching assistant. Due to the number of schools that we support across the country, Positive Footprints are unable to come into individual schools to deliver the programme but will support you along the way.

This is laid out in the School Agreement. If the programme is being funded by an Aspiration Partner, the school is generally required to pay the License fee and the postage and packing. Positive Footprints can advise whether there is an Aspiration Partner funding schools in your area.

Yes, you can, contact us on 0333 207 2220 or complete the form on the Contact Us page.

No, this is not a requirement of the programme. We just need the total number of pupils to ensure you have enough resources.

The document is editable and should let you type into it. Please contact the team with any issues.

Once the School Agreement has been signed one of the Positive Footprints team will be in touch with you to confirm receipt and to discuss when you are looking at running the programme.

We will ensure you have your resources well before you start running the programme and we will let you know when they are on the way.

The planning has all been done for you, except for arranging your Career Carousel. You should allocate a total of twelve hours in order to complete the three modules, including the Business Career Carousel.

There isn’t a limit however pupils should be from classes in one year group, where possible.

Our team have a number of schedules they can share with you to support this, please contact them on 0333 207 2220 or complete the form on the Contact Us page.

The USB is attached to a lanyard inside the white A3 teacher box. The team leader badges are also attached to lanyards but these are banded together. Please contact the Positive Footprints team on 0333 207 2220 or complete the form on the Contact Us page.

We will ensure you have all the resources you need in plenty of time. If you, however, need more resources please contact the team on 0333 207 2220 and this can be looked into for you.

The Career Carousel is organised by the school as you know your area and ideas best. We will introduce you to others who can help support you with getting businesses for the event.

Positive Footprints will support you with the Careers Carousel and will explain the options available to you, as well as tips on how to make it successful.

An hour is usually ideal for the Career Carousel.

For around 30 pupils, we would suggest six businesses attend the event giving the children time to get the most out of their time with them.

Firstly, check that your event is registered with Primary Futures as they can support with this. You can also contact your parents, friends and family to see if any of them can come into school and discuss their career. Local companies may also be happy to come and talk to the pupils. The Planning Team is here to support you if you still need additional businesses.

You can give us a call on 0333 207 2220 or complete the form on the Contact Us page, it’ll be great to hear from you.
