Shining Bright: Tegan’s Apprenticeship Success

We caught up with our customer service assistant, Tegan, who completed a Customer Service Apprenticeship with The Learning Foundry in 2023.

Before beginning her apprenticeship with The Learning Foundry, Tegan worked with DFN Project Search who supported Tegan’s learning difficulties and helped her hunt for her perfect career. To our joy, Tegan joined the Positive Footprints team in 2022! Initially joining us for a 12-week work experience placement, Tegan instantly connected with the team and provided essential support.

During this work placement, Tegan learned more about Positive Footprints and our role within The Regenda Group, contacting fellow group members, The Learning Foundry, to begin an Apprenticeship in Customer Service.

As Tegan approached the end of her original work placement, we were able to invite her to stay with the team and undergo her apprenticeship. We’re pleased to say Tegan’s now a permanent Positive Footprints team member, helping us shape brighter futures for children and young people as a Customer Service Assistant.

Here’s what Tegan had to say about her apprenticeship:

“Completing an apprenticeship was a whole new experience for me. I was interested in the customer service aspect and wanted to build my confidence in a professional environment, as well as personally.

“The apprenticeship helped me build good working relationships with my colleagues, understand the brand’s values and progress in my role.

“I learned more than I ever did in college. I felt like I never learned anything new in college, but I felt like I was learning something new every day during my apprenticeship!

“I was so happy to be offered a permanent role at Positive Footprints, my colleagues have always been very positive and supportive of me. As soon as I stepped into Positive Footprints, I could understand that it was a welcoming and supportive atmosphere where everyone was very friendly and listened to what I had to say.

“I would recommend doing an apprenticeship with The Learning Foundry, they supported me in my learning, and I could see an instant improvement in my knowledge. I could be flexible in my time when to complete the assignments and learning.

“I am really enjoying the job that I am in, and I’d be willing to do more training with The Learning Foundry to help me reach the next steps in my career. “

We’re so proud of your progress, Tegan. We can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you!
